Services - Wind

Wind is created by the differential heating of the Earth’s surface by the sun. It is then shaped by landmasses, oceans and the Earth’s movement into predominant wind patterns. In the Caribbean, we have the north-easterly trade winds – some of the most dependable winds on the planet.

Wind energy is carbon-neutral and poses no long-term climate risk. Turbines ranging from the home scale to the utility scale can be integrated into the existing power structure of the islands with penetration levels up to 25%. In the right climate, wind is cheaper than oil as a source of electricity. Wind technology has come of age – today’s turbines are elegant, quiet, and more efficient.

Cape Systems offers wind resource assessment services that allow precise measurements of onsite wind resources and the corresponding power outputs across a range of turbine sizes. We will analyze the technical, policy and economic requirements and benefits for your wind project. Cape Systems is developing a plan that includes wind energy as a major component of an island energy future that does not involve oil.

and let Cape Systems help you determine how best to accommodate your wind energy needs.
